I am a NBC so I have experienced outside ads before. Some of them are animated and they work flawlessly. If ROBLOX gives us animated ads, then why can't we make our own? |

Most people on Roblox won't actually make their own .gifs. They'll just copy-paste something off Google Images, which Roblox don't tend to appreciate that often. They prefer home-made ads. I would say support, but I just believe barely anyone will make their own .gifs and it'll just be hordes of 5N@F, COD and other things. |

@gib
Good point, I can see a LOT of trolls making these types of ads. |

I don't want fully animated ads, but we should certainly have dynamic ads. For example, clickable buttons that change color when you hover over them, etc. |
Mouse interaction, you'd need a .swf, or am I wrong? |
.swf is starting to go unsupported by newer browsers. Adobe Flash has been replaced with HTML5. Instead of flash files, it would be more convenient to allow local JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5. |

Local code as in inside an iframe element, so accounts will remain secure. |

Wouldn't ROBLOX review the .gif ads like they do on all the ads? That would rule out flashing ads. |

1. Moderation on ROBLOX is already very poor and seems to struggle with the stuff we have to approve now... gifs will just make it harder.
2. Lag. |

.swf is still heavily supported. Google Chrome comes with a standalone flash player built into it. |
.swf is no longer a standard. Adobe Flash has been depreciated, as it has been replaced by HTML5 (for good reasons). |

.gif's take more download speeds and also can easily be exploited with inappropriate terms. |

Where did you hear that SWF has been deprecated? I can't find it anywhere.
But I can tell you that Adobe Flash Player is still receiving regular updates. HTML5 is not the standard at all, it was released 7 months ago. Internet Explorer doesn't even have support for CSS3 yet - there is no way HTML5 is the new web standard over SWF. |
I mean it is the new HTML standard, but there's no way SWF has been deprecated in favor or HTML5. |

You have truly been hiding in a turtle shell for your whole life if you think Internet Explorer doesn't support CSS3. |
