At home, there's a bowl of some sort of soup at the table, with a note beside that says 'went to bed, please enjoy your dinner.' You can hear your mother snoring in her room.

Sarah sat down in the table and ate her meal. Afterwards, she washed the bowl, went back to her room to dress in her pajamas and slept.

You finish up your eating and washing and head to your room. Soon enough, you've undressed yourself and then redressed yourself in your sleeping clothes. You then crawl into bed and sleep. You awaken to the sound of your mother's voice. Her voice isn't directed to you, however. It sounds like she's talking to someone at the front door.

Sarah slowly got up from her bed. She knew she shouldn't eavesdrop, but she was kind of curious to why her mother would be up at this time(assuming it's still night of), and so she slowly sneaked closer to the door. Sarah cracked it open, just enough inches for the noise to easily come through to her, crystal clear.

(It's the morning, slightly earlier than the time you normally wake up.) You decided to be a nosy little daughter and opened the door a bit to listen in. "A dress? I don't think she's ever worn one before, at least, not a nice one. We barely have enough money for clothes, let alone a dress," you hear your mother say. "Money won't be a concern. She just needs to pick out a nice one to deliver the cake to the governor, that's all," you hear a familiar voice that you can't quite pick out say, "have her come by my home when she wakes up. I've already talked to her boss about it." "Well okay. I'll let her know. Thank you very much for coming," your mother says as you hear the sound of a door closing.

(i thought i replied a long time ago but... rip my brd ass) Sarah gently closed the door. It would be suspicious if she did come out through it just now, and so she went back to bed for at least a few more minutes. After some time has passed, then she'll "wake up". Sarah will pretend wake up.

You went back into your bed and stared at the ceiling for some time. Later, you got back up. Your mother is in the kitchen, eating something you've never seen before. Some sort of brown strip, along with a sunny-side up egg. There's a plate on the table that's probably for you with the same brown strips and egg.

"Morning," she said as she entered into the kitchen. Sarah walks over to the table, and takes a seat. "What is this?" she asked her mother, pointing to the brown strip, not meaning to be rude but she was curious.

"Oh, good morning Sarah. The man your boss is working with, Mr. Lockerby, brought these over. I think he called them baking or something, I'm not sure. They taste really good though," your mother says, smiling as she continues to eat.

"Hmm. Alright." Sarah picks up one of the "baking or something" pieces with a fork and takes at least a medium sized bite of it.

Your mother starts muttering to herself, trying to recall what the food is called. You take a bite out of one of the strips. It tastes meaty and greasy, though you're fairly certain you've never tasted this kind of meat. Nevertheless, this is probably the savoriest and most delicious meat you've tasted. "Oh, bacon! He called it bacon," your mother says, smiling to herself, happy that she remembered the name, "so, do you like it?"

Sarah took the bite of the bacon, chewed and swallowed. "Yeah, It's great!" she said, quite enthusiastically, "Where did he get these things?" bird is the word

"I think he's just wealthy," your mother says, taking another bite from her breakfast, "maybe he bought it, or got someone to cook it specially. I'm not sure." After eating a bit more of the meal, your mother looks at you. "He also said that your boss has baked a cake that needs to be delivered to the governor, and they both want you to deliver it."

"Hm, okay," she said, then nodded. Sarah continued eating her meal until she was finished. She had to do a delivery job for today? Sounds easy enough. Afterwards, she would possibly go to work to deliver the cake. bird is the word

"Mr. Lockerby said you needed to go to his place to pick out something nice to wear," your mother informs you, "he lives over in the nice section of the city, across from the post office. He said he cleared it up with your boss, but you might want to go check with him first."

Finishing your breakfast, you headed to the bakery you worked at. Nothing's changed about it. Walking in, your boss is setting all the baked goods on display.

"Hmm?" he says, looking up, "oh, Sarah. That's right. It's very important you look presentable so this bakery doesn't get a bad reputation in the eyes of the governor. Mr. Lockerby lives just across from the post office where you got those ingredients. Take your time, no need to hurry back."

"Alrighty, just wanted to make sure. Bye, and see you later." Sarah then went to quickly go over Mr. Lockerby's place, she already knew where the post office is so getting there would be relatively easy. bird is the word

The guards at the gate to the nicer part of the city let you pass them without any problem. Either they were too lazy to deal with you, or they believe you wouldn't cause any trouble. Just across from the post office you see what you assume to be Mr. Lockerby's home. It is /much/ larger than your home, and you guess that it's about three stories. The design and texture of it remind you of a medieval castle, albeit, with a modern flair. This modernity comes in the form of the several golden pipes and gears strewn about on the outside of the house. The gears all are turning, and the pipes are letting out steam. The house has a wrought iron fence all around it, separating it from the rest of the world. Within the fencing is a nicely maintained stone path and ground. Standing just outside the gate is a suited man who looks of a fairly old age. His grey hair is balding, and his face is by no means free of wrinkling and weathering. He looks up at you and speaks in a very polite and respectable tone. "Do you happen to be Miss Sarah, by chance?"

Sarah was slightly bewildered at how big the place was. It was just so huge and fancy. She wondered how anyone would need a third floor, let alone a second one. "Yes, I am," she replied. sorry if i'm terrible at writing i am just very tired 100% of the time

(try coffee https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lhATyrOHrc here is Alton Brown's signature coffee recipe) "Mr. Lockerby is very busy at the moment, he's asked me to assist you in picking out a dress. Are you ready to go?" the man asks.

(get money get coffee stuff) "Come along then," he says, escorting you to the back of the large house where you see a sight you never thought would be associated with a home. There at the back of the house are two dark black horses hitched to an even darker carriage with a gold trim. The man takes a seat at the front and grabs the reins. "Come now Miss Sarah, you may sit in the back or at the front with me."
