not enough pedal riffing to get the thrash like style of at the gates not enough folk to amorphis not enough prog to ne obliviscaris not enough atmosphere to insomnium basically power metal with screaming

I like sludge, but prefer stuff like Acid Bath, Grief, Iron Monkey, Lord Mantis, Coffinworm

Cool, I have an eclectic metal taste, on the thrash (and groove) side of it, I will listen to Megadeth, a little Metallica, Pantera, Byzantine, and Machine Head, while in terms of death and melodeath I listen to Dark Tranquility, Amon Amarth, Death, and a little bit of Nile, and then I listen to some classic metal, and some other stuff. But, speaking of Death, do you know any death metal bands who play in that kind of style, with lyrics not about blood and gore, that kind of thing doesn't attract me. -This message is brought to you by a legitimate metalhead.
