This trade wasn't needed. Hagelin was a key player for you guys due to his speed. The only thing that could possibly change my view on this, is if you finally get Etem to score points.

@RektItCool, agreed. New York is losing St.Louis after this season (most likely, he's only on a one year deal), even though he's not as fast as he use to be he still has speed. Then trading away Hagelin, New York is starting to lose it's speed lol.

I'm sure they'll get it back. Sather is a genious so he'll probably pull something out the hat later on.

Wist, he had 60 goals in juniors the year before he got drafted. Anaheim just stuck him on the 4th line due to his size and hitting abilities. Bump him up to L2 or even L1 with Stepan and Nash, he might bloom into the elite player he was projected to become.

Lock, Etem can replace that. He's much bigger then Hagelin yet still maintain's a ton of speed making him just as deadly on the PK. What makes Etem a better fit for the Rangers is that he has hands and he can play physical with them. Something barely any of the Rangers can do. Hagelin is 26 (in his prime) and has about 3 to 5 years left before he leaves it. Etem is 23 and still has a ton of room to grow and develop since Anaheim did such a bang up job at doing!
