Answer: no, for two reasons. reason one is that if I wanted to guard these I would sign up to be a guard not a police officer. reason two is that as a police officer my job is to respond to heists after something has been stolen or somebody has been injured.

Answer: I would observe the criminal and possibly follow him/her depending on the situation. I would later inform higher lever officials.
