There music is what I consider TRUE modern rock, as opposed to guys like linkin park, or green day. (who are more of punk rock) I'm not saying I like them, (#6 on my fave bands) this is just my opion of thier style.

Linkin Park is considered rock? Anyway, Three Days Grace can be also considered Power Metal. At least, in my ears.

actually Green Day is pretty much punk rock except they throw some pop in there too. I do like Three Days Grace myself, even though I've only heard a couple of their songs. I'll probably get into them more some day.

American Idiot (green day) was kinda rock, and dookie was alternative. the only way they can be considered punk is by their looks. But I would agree to TDG being power metal. linkin park, more of.... pop rock music.

Yeah but punk falls under the category of alternative. Listen to their first couple of albums, "1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" and "Kerplunk", they're more punk. So is Insomniac, after Dookie. I'm sort of a geek when it comes to Green Day :D

Linkin Park is Nu Metal/Rap Metal. Listen to songs like Crawling and Papercut. Only trashy Minutes to Midnight is pop...ish.

I find that their lyrics are very dull, then build up to a dramatical end, hencforce making them a great rock band. They seem to be getting away from songs that they orinigally used, such as conflicting emotions in their song "Pain" In their new song "Break" they have a more up-beat attitiude. They still use the same wording, but all in all, they have changed. More than just their appearance from black and gloomy, to light and agile.

@KwispyWaffle Minutes to Midnight isn't "trashy" its pretty good... It's only their third album, i mean, let them experiment and figure out what they want to do.
