I saw this thread before, but I couldn't find it.
This idea basically states that any group that imitates a real-life company should be banned. This idea also states that any group with a © symbol, trademark symbol, etc., should be deleted. Now to go into further detail.
Any group that imitates a real-life company should be deleted. Most companies have their name as a registered trademark of that company. Imitation of such a company without the owner's consent would be illegal, considering the user has the group under their own name.
Any group that uses an official trademark symbol should be deleted. Such symbols are obtained through legal registration, therefore making it illegal to use a counterfeit. The users are not only lying, but breaking the law in this scenario.
This could get not only the users, but also the ROBLOX company as a whole, in huge trouble. ROBLOX has claimed in the Terms and Conditions, "ROBLOX Corporation owns all the content on ROBLOX.com." They have therefore taken any and all responsibility, therefore making it THEIR fault if any illegal action has taken place. They could get sued.

That could be said about anything. The NFL is just a bunch of games, but there are still punishments in that game. Look at Tom Brady.
The rule that's broken in this game just so happens to be a law. If it were a law that people are not allowed to deflate footballs, Tom Brady would be in jail. Yes, even though it's just a game.

I suppose, however younger users may not understand that it is illegal. They could make a group based off of, say the Jeep brand, and not realise that they can't do that. The child would be probably either fined or sent to a juvenile detention center because they didn't know.

they could receive a warning of some sort, since DARN YOUNGSTERS these days don't really read into the law, and give them the option to change the name. big groups like those coffee/clothes groups probably spent a lot of robux and time to earn that many players and spend on ads, so it wouldn't be very fair if they were just deleted if they weren't warned beforehand that you shouldn't be going around taking the names of real life companies and using trademark symbols and such (even though that should be obvious????). however, there should be some sort of penalty for those groups that spam messages to users to promote their group, because that's honestly annoying. |

Yeah, I agree. The owner should get banned with an option to change the name of the group. They're only unbanned when they do change it to something more appropriate. If they refuse, then the group is deleted and the owner is terminated.

Because Roblox is based in the U.S., and therefore has to follow U.S. law
