Probably my first serious post I have made...
I also meant FULLY support, as Android devices are technically Unix.
If you don't know what this unknown platform is, GNU is a special 'command prompt' that is able to change your system, and Unix adds a GUI over it, essentially an operating system.
Many things are based on Unix. Android operating systems are based on Unix, and popular operating systems like Ubuntu, Gnome, and SteamOS are also based on Unix.
Unix operating systems support OpenGL, and Intel, AMD, and NVidia has official support, and Unix systems are possibly stronger than Windows.
Last time ROBLOX tried to do this, they couldn't, stating that ROBLOX requires Internet Explorer to run. I question that, since now Android and iOS is able to run ROBLOX.
ROBLOX now has virtually no obstructions and even third-parties are able to run ROBLOX Studio (OFFLINE) on Unix without a problem. ROBLOX running on Unix is probably more realistic than it running on console, honestly.
It will be fun grabbing a controller and playing ROBLOX on a SteamOS.
I have probably explained some things terribly wrong, but if people gets an idea from this, I am happy.
Some people say Unix and Linux, and I am fine with that. |

Roblox will have to be completely re-coded to support any version of a Unix OS. Also not enough people use Unix based OSes for Roblox to benefit from it. |
|
|
Doesn't matter, they need to add it. |
|
|
They don't need to add Unix support if they aren't going to benefit from it. |

@TheCyber More people use Unix then MAC. |
|
|
They will benefit from it. Typical mono-OS closed mind. |

Here is some information to prove that Roblox will not benefit from Unix

That probably represents market share i.e. paid sales. Most forms of Linux are free. |

It would be nice if ROBLOX did this, but they won't. Btw, for Linux, you can just install "Wine". Wine is a program that lets you run other programs that could only be ran on another platform. Set it to windows (preferred) and it'll run as if it was windows. Now idk if the other platforms have wine, but I'm sure they have something similar to it.

I am back!
It is possible to use rlw (ROBLOX Linux wrapper) to run ROBLOX, but it is unofficial and unsupported. The rlw is good, but it has caused a bunch of graphical corruptions, or my computer entirely freezing up.
Statistically, many more people are using Unix than you expect. I said that Android is a branch of Unix, and I found out that a modified version of Ubuntu is ran on IPhones. The introduction of the SteamBox means that Linux is prepared to be sold along SteamOS to run any game, as VALVE games are already supported.
Windows 10 is free, even though it is still in development as of this date.
Also, ROBLOX said years ago that they couldn't run ROBLOX on Unix because Internet Explorer is not supported. I doubt that now. |
