As idiotic as I sound right now I'm trying to teach myself how to build an actual game, and to do what I have in mind I need to make the map wider, and everything that I find which explains how to make a map wider is out of date. Anyone know how to do this?

What do you mean? Smooth terrain or just the baseplate? Smooth Terrain: Copy & Paste the regions. Baseplate: Copy and paste the baseplate. Type forum signature here, and press enter to save.

The baseplate. ..And how does one copy and paste the baseplate exactly? I think I'd be able to figure this out on my own if I just knew how to unlock it.

open up explorer, select the thing that is named "Baseplate" inside of Workspace (click to open if it isn't already). after clicking the Baseplate, open up properties (look in view in the top tap and click the button to open it if it isn't open already" scroll around until you find the property called "Locked". since it's the baseplate, it should be checked next to locked. click the checkbox to uncheck it and you can now select it in the game.

So I followed the instructions, and I unlocked the terrain, though when I went to copy and paste it, it wouldn't let me, so I checked the lock box and it was still checked. I unchecked it, tried again, same thing happened.

wAAAIIT I figured out what I was doing wrong, I was hitting terrain instead of baseplate kEK but thats because I don't have baseplate in workspace..? I only have terrain and instances.

Make sure you didn't create a terrain place and that you created a baseplate place.
