T1: It's really boring until a while into it. Also the effects aren't great.
T2: Better than T1 but it gets boring at the end because of all the false endings. Effects get better.
T3: Better than T2, has the best action and the effects get even better.
Salvation: Better than T3, has a really engaging story and as always the effects are better.
Genisys: The best in the series, the only one that actually does anything interesting with the concept, very well done, and of course the effects are even better.
