Remember that they need to accept you in. It's kinda like friend requests in that you send a request, and they can choose to accept it. |

Were you outright rejected? Have you tried reloading the page? Are you below your maximum 5? Are you pending for any other groups?
I'd try if I didn't have my leftover few dozen groups. |
