most of the time my songwriting process goes like this:
1. start thinking about my deepest insecurities
2. direct them at a particular person and get really upset about it
3. ???
4. PROFIT!
maybe i need to find a way to write music that doesn't end in me wanting to curl up in a ball and cry. or perhaps i'm supposed to so i can write better and angstier music? |

kinda, though remember to always use a bit of subtlety, a lot of great albums veil the themes somewhat, it adds character and artistic value |

and even when i do successfully get into that frame of mind, i end up just writing about something else entirely. like the one song i wrote that was about the time we changed churches. or the one i wrote that may or may have not been about my short-lived obsession with Ben Gibbard. |
