Now this may not work for everyone, but it worked for me. After I got windows 10 my Roblox lagged to unplayable levels and I couldn't for the life of me play with such low frames, so I looked into how to fix it and this solution worked for me.
-The fix: You cannot use Microsoft Edge as your browser *Microsoft Edge is the browser -like internet explorer- That comes with the stock Windows 10* You must go ahead and get another browser, I suggest either installing, Google Chrome, or Firefox. Once you have you're going to want to set your new browser to the default browser you use, which can be done by going into settings but it usually asks you if you'd like to.
I hope this helps! |

Nope didn't work, still lagging. They should call it Windows 10FPS because that's all I'm getting. |

this guys just a chrome fanboy. Im using edge, and i have no frame drops or lag, plus it makes no sense that the browser can have an affect on roblox because its a seperate program. |
|

For me, sadly, didn't work but, I don't think it's the new Microsoft Edge browser. Probably(i hope i'm right)ROBLOX isn't optimized for Windows 10.(yet) |

If you are having issues with your lag, #1 have you checked your CPU to make sure you have enough to handle all programs being run?
If you have a lot of background programs running I suggest doing this:
In the "search windows" gui, type "run"
Open it the run run program
Type msconfig and press enter
Click the Services tab
Check "Hide all Microsoft services"
Uncheck everything
Recheck what you want to run, eg: firewall, virus protection, and so forth...
Click the Startup tab
Click Open Task Manager
Click programs you do not want to run in the background on startup and click disable
This following series of steps will clear your temporary files.
Do not do this if you have unsaved information.
Open windows explorer
To open windows explorer clicking the windows button(lower left hand corner)
Then click File Explorer
Click on This PC
Open the C: drive
Open Users
Open the user profile you are on
In the displayed file location bar, type this at the end "\AppData" and press enter
Open the Local file
Open the Temp file
Select everything inside and delete it all
Now you should restart your computer, and perform any updates required. If all goes well, your computer should run faster in general.
Still have lag? Your internet connection, firewall settings, or proxy settings could be the problem.
Internet connection could be router related, wifi card related if you are using wifi and not hard wired into the router, or internet service provider speed related.
Firewall settings are changed differently for each firewall program.
If you are using windows firewall, do the following
Click the notifications button in the lower right hand corner of the screen
Click All Settings
Click Network and Internet
Scroll down and click Windows Firewall
On the left click Allow an App or Feature through Windows Firewall
You need to click Change Settings
Scroll down until you find roblox's apps
I have mine set to private, and have no problems.
If you are having a proxy issue, it could either be OS proxy or internet browser proxy.
For OS proxy
Type proxy in search windows
Click change proxy settings
I have all proxy settings turned off, had this issue with another game
If it is browser proxy, this depends on what browser you are using...
I am using firefox... So I will tell you how using Firefox
Click the three lines at the top right corner
Click Options
Click Advanced on the left
Click Network tab
In the connections section click settings
Click Use system proxy settings and click apply
Restart your browser and settings should be fixed.
If all of these things don't help, open your task manager and check the CPU usage. If it is too high, your computer's processor needs an upgrade to handle the windows 10 OS along with the background programs you have running and the programs you are using at the time. You will either need to downgrade windows OS or get another computer. Most computers come with the processor built into the motherboard so you probably wont be able to replace just the processor with one that can handle it. If you are able to buy a whole new motherboard that fits your computer's chassis, then great, Though you may want to upgrade your ram, graphics card, and wifi card while you are at it. |

To a router related problem, you can try this:
Disconnect your router's power cord, if you use a modem disconnect it also.
Wait approximately 30 seconds or longer. I usually wait until it is cool to the touch.
Reconnect your modem first, if you have one, and then the router.
Wait for router to connect to the internet service provider, display lights should tell you when it is connected.
If your computer is connected to the router but not allowing internet activity, you need to disconnect the computer's network card and reconnect. To do this, Right click on the network button at the bottom right of your screen
Click open network and sharing center
Click on the network labeled 'Connections'
Click Disable
Now right click on the network icon again and click network and sharing center again
Click Change adapter settings on the left
Right click on the inactive network setting, in my case it's the wifi network
Click Enable
(You could also just restart your computer to reset the network card)
If connection speed persists, the problem is one of three things.
1.Your network card is outdated or driver needs updating.
2.Your internet service provider is supplying slow internet
3.Your router is outdated
To fix your service and see if it's up to date do the following
In the search windows gui, type "driver"
Click Update Device Drivers
Once opened, open the network adapters
Click on each network adapter and click the update button located at the top of the window
Open the system devices
Look for network adapter numerator, probably has the name of your network adapter before this title
Update it also
To fix your internet service provider speed, you need to contact your internet service provider and upgrade your account with them. I think I have 30mbs and I have no issues.
To fix the outdated router, you can try one of two things.
If you are using a router that is rented from your internet service provider, you will need to take it to them and ask for an updated router, that it is too slow.
If you are using your own router, you may want to get a new one.
ONLY IF IT IS YOUR ROUTER AND NOT RENTED! You can log into the router and check it's settings. Be careful doing this as you can easily mess something up and the entire router will stop functioning properly. Only do this is you know what you are doing. |
|
|
|
To check your connection speed:
Right click on the network icon in the lower right hand corner of your screen
Click Network and sharing center
Click on the network listed as connections
You will see the mbs beside speed. |

|
Check on your memory usage to, I recently upgraded and had to fix my network drivers.
I was stuck at a solid 84 usage and now i'm back at 7-12 idle.
Getting chrome should be a must, internet explorer is awful.

Bumping this to help anyone else having the same issue. |

The annoying this is that it starts working and then it continues lagging again.. |

Also, I didn't bother to check if anybody had already said this, but changing your network settings to disallow your PC to share updates with the rest of your network work massively reduce network lag. Search up "disable windows 10 update sharing" for his to do it. Also use chrome because it's just better in every way. |

Who even uses Tracking Edge, everyone knows that windows edge is a tracking browser + a reskin of IE

How* |

It isn't really a reskin of Internet Explorer, but it is a metro app, and having a metro app browser is ridiculous.
It's also very unfinished, much like the rest of Windows 10. |
