Game Rules
General Rules
Teams must show up 10 minutes prior to game-time to ensure the game starts on time.
All games have 12-minute quarters
Games will have a 5-minute overtime if the score remains tied at the end of the 4th quarter
A team will have 12 seconds to advance the ball past halfcourt
Clock Rules
Clock is not to stop* unless the ball goes out of play, subs are occurring, or a timeout is called
*Under 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th quarters, the clock is to stop after every made basket.
1 minute intermission between each quarter
3 minute halftime intermission
Shot Clock
Shot clock is 24 seconds
Shot clock resets on the ball hitting the rim.
Shot clock resets to 18 if a foul occurs if there is under 18 seconds left on the shot clock
The shot clock does not reset on a blocked shot or
Subbing Rules
Players who are checking into the game must notify those sitting at the scorers table
Subbing may only occur after the ball goes out of play, before the 2nd free throw, or if a team

Lane Violations
Moving from your spot before the release
Being in the wrong spot inside the paint
All perimeter players who are not inside are allowed to roam anywhere outside the 3 point line except the corners.
The offense does not have to have a person set up inside.
The defense has to have at least one person inside and up to four.
How to line up properly (O = Offense, D = Defense)
Detailed Rules
Inbounding
Five seconds to inbound the basketball
The player inbounding the ball cannot move more than 7 studs away from the original spot if it is an inbound from and OOB, turnover, or timeout.
On a made basket, inbounders are allowed to run the baseline to try to get the ball in.
No self inbounding
Backcourt
Over and back meaning the player's foot or ball steps back over the halfcourt line.
Pressing
Press legal on inbounds off of turnovers.
Pressing on all inbounds after 3 minutes in the 2nd or 4th quarters
Fouls
Pressing in the backcourt results in a foul
Heading a person with the ball will result in a foul due to contact (resulting in the offensive player falling)
Four fouls in a half will put the opposing team will be in the bonus meaning every time they are fouled it will result in two free throws
Technical fouls DO NOT count as a personal foul
Technicals will be 1 shot
Players who receive technicals will be fined 50 tickets from their contract.
Players who accumulate 3 or more total technicals over the entire season will be fined 150 + suspended 1 game (Example: 3 technicals for a player will result in a total amount of fines of 300 tickets + 1 game suspension
Timeouts
Teams are allowed seven 45-second timeouts
Teams may advance the ball under 2 minutes in the 2nd or 4th quarter after a made basket using a timeout
B. Team Rules
Teams cannot change the franchise until after three seasons
C. Contract Rules
Payment: Minimum 600; Maximum 5,000
Contract Length: 1 Season minimum, 3 season maximum
1st round draft picks are required 1k their 1st season
Once a player agrees to a contract he must agree to his height for the whole seasons and cannot change until the start of a new one.
If a player is traded, the other team must take on the player's contract
If a players released, the team still owes that player their full contract
Mutual contract termination - both player and owner agree to terminate the player’s contract, resulting in the player receiving no money but able to become a free agent
Drafted players who do not sign their contract may have their rights traded to another team; after 1 season these players are eligible to re enter the draft.
D. Group Wall Rules
Flaming or insulting players and officials will not be tolerated, and will resulted in those posts being deleted and a possible fine for offenders.
Free Agents asking for offers will have their posts deleted.
Posts that are irrelevant to the league will also be deleted.

NBA Season 1 Scheduling

Now that another school year is approaching us all, it is important that we, the heads of NBA ensure maximum activity around the league from all players. It would be nice to do just weekend games, but due to other major leagues and a 16 game season, it would be nearly impossible without a 4-6 month season.
With this in mind, the Commissioners and Board of Directors found it fair to have 1 game at 8:00 EST or so every weekday except Mondays and Fridays, these are our designated off days.
In addition, to give owners/teams more notice on their game dates and times, I will be writing out multiple games for each teams at a time. (EX: I will make dates and times for Weeks 2-5 at one time). This also prevents any biased scheduling from occuring, and gives all teams an equal chance to have maximum attendance at their games.
With that being said here are your game dates and times for Week 2 through Week 5. (I have decided to go straight down the list of games earlier posted by EasternDisaster and just add dates/times to them to assure random scheduling orders.)

Everyone knows dancing causes server lag, and since people attempting to use the "its not in the rulebook" loophole even tho they know darn well what they are doing, the following rule will be effective immediately:
-Any emotes (Dancing,waving, etc.), will result in a ban from the server, and a 1 game suspension.
-If you continue to mess with the game (DDosing, Cleaning, etc.) There will be fines, and larger suspensions.
-If you decide to do these things for a 2nd time, you will be suspended 3 games, and fined 300 tix.
-If you do this for a 3rd time, you will be suspended for the remainder of the season.

NEW RULE :
If a player manually walks out of bounce and returns that will make them not elgible to touch the ball that possesion and if the ball is touched by that player it will result in a "In and out" violation. |
