the shangri las are good, although they arent as easy to get into for people not used to music from the period
check out leader of the pack from them
some other solid artists include solex, natalia lafourcade, and bjork |

Thanks youu everyone!
I listen to a lot of Top 40/Pop music and sometimes someone other than Ariana Grande/Taylor Swift is good. Cause I like listening to different stuff. |

Sia's album Colour the Small One
MØ
Florrie
Ella henderson(2)
Foxes(2)
Bea Miller(2) |
|
|
Sia
Janelle Monae
Rihanna (Her earlier albums such as 'Good Girl Gone Bad' were classic R&B, you should check it out!)
Mariah Carey (Another wonderful R&B artist who also makes pop music)
Celine Dion
Janet Jackson
I can only think of pop-rnb stuff right now, heh. |

The whole album of Good Girl Gone Bad was Rihanna's best work.
Janet Jackson is a very iconic artist ever since the 80s who still makes current music today. Her latest single is titled "no sleeep" if you're interested. (yes it has three e's). My favorite albums from her are Rhythm Nation and All For You. If you like her music, you'd definitely love Michael Jackson's music.
Celine Dion is most likely way before your time, and mine too, and she's a great artist from the 90s. She's the women who sang "My Heart Will Go On" (a recognizable melody from the movie Titanic) and she also sang a bestseller called "The Power Of Love."

And by this, I actually don't refer to pop artists. I just listen to mostly pop (Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Iggy Azalea) and stuff like that. But you can put artists of other genres as well. I don't mind R&B, Hip Hop, and other genres. |
|
|
Johnny Cash
A whole lot of Sia
Then listen to more Sia
And then more Sia |
