#1: Seahawks 6-1. Yes, I know. Once again are the packers not the #1 in my power rankings. But I base my power rankings on the change from last year, combined with the record. The Seahawks have been amazing! I mean, we were all pretty sure that the Packers were going be the standard for the “Perfect team” but no one thought that the Seahawks were going to be at the level of the Packers.
#2: Packers 6-1. Well, another team falls to the Packers. In the last 2 seasons, there has only been one team to beat the Packers, and it was the Skins. Now the Week 8 schedule is going to be changed most likely, as none of us want a Skin-Packer rematch.
#3: Pats 6-1. Rounding out the 6-1 teams is a team that has been on a 5 game winning streak! But they were all forfeits, so take that with a grain of salt. The Pats were one of the big movers in the last few hours of the trade deadline, and their win over the Raiders helped that case.
#4: Broncos 5-2. Again, like I said at the top, my power rankings are based on record and difference from last year. Last year, the Broncos weren’t very good. But Matt turned the team around, getting the Broncos back to the S2 powerhouse they were.
#5: Skins 5-2. Yes, I know that the Skins knocked the Broncos off on Saturday, so the argument can be made for them at #4. But again, I also focus on the difference from last year. So, the Skins last year were the #2 seed. And with the tight situation in the NFC, we need a physic to tell us who will win, place and show in the NFC. (1st, 2nd, and 3rd, just needed a plug.)
#6: 49ers 5-2. Whoa, again another team falls from glory. But honestly, did they get lazy over the past week? 1 person was online when their game was supposed to happen. ONE person.
#7: Raiders 2-5. Well, putting the Raiders ahead of the other 2-5 teams? This was probably not one of my best ideas. But they are the most sound 2-5 team out there. I’ll get to the other 2 in a second, but look at the facts. They kept it pretty close in their forfeit loss, so maybe better days are ahead?
#8: Lions 2-5. Well, begin the comment war about if the Lions are actually better than the Steelers or if I am pretty blind. But honestly, other than being out of playoff position, are they really that bad? I mean the Steelers are more talented but the defense rests.
#9: Steelers 2-5. Why are they down here? It is because of the departure of sportsgirl. Once she left, the new coach, (Who shall remain nameless) almost instantly traded away Franky! To the Pats! Don’t get me wrong, they got some okay players in return, but was it a good move? The Steelers need a miracle to get in the playoffs, but it can be done. In fact, if they had won week 6, they would be near the top of the list.
#10: Dolphins 0-7. Wow, murk is probably kicking himself for leaving. #murked
