My friend and I have had an argument for quite some time regarding this: does grouping lots of parts into lots of different models cause more lag, or less lag, when running a game? I don't know whether this is fact or myth but it'd be nice to know the answer, I'm always a fan for games running faster.

Grouping parts just makes your game tidier, doesn't lag any more or less.

Indeed, models are just like folders.

^ yes they do but it shouldnt be a problem unless you got like model.model.model.model.model.model and so on the the parts

Models are not rendered, the amount of processing power they use up is less than a GUI frame. A million models would cause less lag then 10 parts.

Models technically would make it slower because they're stored in RAM, but to the point where it will never be noticeable. Ever.
