ROBLOX wants users to be able to make anything they want. They have said this over, and over, and OVER so many times. I really want to make my own hat, HOWEVER. - ROBLOX should limit users to a certain amount of meshes (ex: the mesh of the "Bloxxer Cap" and the "ROBLOX Visor") It limits us to such basic meshes where ROBLOX won't lose any money. If they let us make our own fedoras, it would down their sales when people buy robux to buy a fedora. There are thing that I would love to make but don't have the artistic skills for it to make it into the catalog. Basic things is what I would do. - You also can't put your custom "hats" on sale either. I just feel like it should be used for your own purpose instead of trying to make money off of it. Use it for your enjoyment. If you DO want to share your hat with someone, give them the texture to it. I'm sure a lot of us can agree that we want to make our own hats but don't have the artistic skills to make it into the catalog, rather making a hat just for ourselves knowing it's not going to look the best. I thank you for whoever read all of this. I just felt like I needed to express what I wanted. I KNOW ROBLOX wants this to but is trying to figure out a system similar to this because like I said, ROBLOX wants us to be able to make ANYTHING, ANYTHING we want. - Bellarive

I hope you realize that Roblox currently ignores the copying spread of the current existing clothing. Hats could make things even worst. Like, when was the last time you ever saw Roblox fix one of the biggest Fundamental problems on this site? Though it would be interesting feature, only for a short period of time. We thought that Shirt and Pants wouldn't be a issue. Instead we were wrong. Just saying.

You can't really stop people from doing anything on the internet though. I mean there could potentially be a way to stop copying clothing but I don't think it will stop.

I'm pretty sure they're working on this already, aswell as being able to sell models. They've said it in a few of their Twitch broadcasts but I don't know which ones as there are a lot. hi

Make hats in your own games that can be bought in said game. You can retexture. You can script. Is there really that much left to say? -=A great man once ate a bowl of spaghetti=-

If people were able to create their own textures for hats, then they would be able to create the offsale ones. Roblox has hats that come out of cards, and they're usually offsale. Even though there's some players don't have a certain card, people without it would be able to look like they're wearing a hat from it like this one: http://web.roblox.com/Mischief-Cap-item?id=120757007 People would also just texture a hat from events like clan battle, even though they didn't earn it. Imagine how people would feel if that happened to a hat like this: http://web.roblox.com/The-United-States-of-America-Clan-Cap-item?id=177011191 People can do the same thing with hats like this: http://web.roblox.com/2008-ROBLOX-Visor-item?id=1459035 And when someone makes a hat, it gets sent to the catalog, even offsale. People can spam a bunch of hats there and mess up search results like player-made clothes do. Roblox would still lose money because people can copy hats from cards, so I don't support this.

Being able to create hats will cause moderation overload. The mods have enough to moderate. People have suggested this since prehistory and it's never happened. What makes you think it'll work now? No support

they sort of let this happen with retextures.. but users making hats is just.. it's too much. we should only have so much much. also, it would cause a whole new moderation system to be made. yeah far out

As much as I want to wear this in any game outside of mine: http://www.roblox.com/Slick-Bunny-item?id=261873733 I'll have to agree with the guys above, it would really cause more hard work for ROBLOX than they already have. I'll support in a 50%. Who knows, mmmmmmmmmmmaybe sometime it might happen? But either way we'll have to go on with the current possibilities available :I

I'm not just implying just THIS way. There could be restrictions to stop massive moderation for retexturing hats that have been made. For example, maybe you need OBC. This will stop a lot of the moderation since most of the community buys BC. Also it would cost like, maybe say, 500 robux per retexture you make to yourself that you can't sell. Idk just some thing in mind. And I know ROBLOX is probably working on this since they want everything to be user created.

And they might have to do a certain amount of work to it do actually be able to publish it. Like recoloring a visor won't do anything. That just gives ROBLOX a less of a color to figure out for next years colors. And maybe a completely different design or they won't allow it.
