Don't give up. I want you to think about what you learn in history class. When your teacher goes over figures in history, how do you think they left a legacy to be written in the books? Did they do that by giving up as soon as things got rough, or did they accomplish that by persevering, and continuing no matter the circumstances? The history books are not filled with quitters. They are filled with determined individuals who had a goal and kept to that goal. This idea applies to everything, even the real world. You are not succeeding if you quit while you are ahead. Even if you continue, you are accomplishing something. You are still succeeding, because you have yet to fail. Giving up is failure, perseverance is success. Keep that perseverance and you can turn your success into even greater success. By not trying you are not doing, and by not doing you are not achieving. As for clans, those in the clan world's history who quit early are only remembered for that and nothing else. The leaders are labelled incompetent. The group is not thought of fondly in the memories of those people. Allow me to give one example, regardless of what you think of it: A-SOV. I started with a clan that I was given in a time of crisis that had nothing. The one who had handed it to me had turned away from the group, and instead was trying to destroy it. I had to deal with a group that had next to nothing, and even that was being stripped of it slowly: but I persisted. I reached out to my members. I stuck with my clan. A-SOV as a whole could have died right then and there, had I given up; and for a short time it was close to "dead." But with that, I continued, and I continued. I have led a clan that -- despite being ridiculed for its long-lasting development -- has been a prominent figure in the clan world that has managed to accomplish a lot of what many already-released clans have done. We are known as one of the better clans in the clan world, despite our status of an unreleased fort. I personally have been the brunt of all the ridicule and criticism of my clan. I have lost friends, I have lost support, I have lost allies and I have lost members. Those who I thought would never depart have stabbed me in the back and kicked me while I was down. I have trudged through real-world issues (such as depression, which many clan leaders have cited as an excuse,) but I've stuck with my clan. If I had not stuck with my clan, I would be letting people down. The same applies to everyone else. The effort and time and loyalty people have put into your clan would be for nothing, and you to them would be a let down. Don't do that. Continue, continue, continue. Do not give up, for that's a clear sign of failure. I hope this piece of information will inspire some people to proceed with their clans and is met in a positive regard.
