I have an idea to cut down on the amount of spam items/places receive, similar to the "Play before rating" ability, you must own the item/visted the place you are going to comment on before you are allowed to comment, this would be useful for 6 reasons:
Would stop almost every bot from spamming free tix and robux scams on items and places
Would allow for more useful comments to be shown on the top on the comments section for items/places
Would stop a significant amount of the trade spam you see on almost every item/place
Would stop a significant amount of the "Play my game" spam on almost every item/place
Would give Game Developers the ability to see actual comments about their game and make changes based on what the general audience would like.
Would free up moderation times for the ROBLOX Administrators to moderate more pressing things such as inappropriate forum posts, comments, etc
If you do not support this thread, please give a detailed explanation on why you disagree.

@cyber can you explain why you don't support the hat one? It's just as important as place comments, actual comments are supposed to be related to the hat itself not "Send me trades" "Robux giveaway at link" "PLAY MY GAME" comments should be related to that item/place ONLY, like "I like this hat with this and that hat as combo" "This hat is so cool!" etc.

Not everyone is rich enough to afford certain hats but they still want to provide their opinion on it. For example, they could have tried it on via Catalog Heaven or admin commands and still want to share their opinion. |

@cyber I know that this would.be a downside, but take into consideration everything I listed in the thread, this would cut down spam like Mortal Kombat rips their player(s) apart.

I like how legit S&I suggestions are not supported when they are completely logical, but when someone posts baiteveryone who knows how to read supports. This would actually help the Moderators because they get thousands of spam reports a day.

@3eras I'm not butthurt at all, and if a "Actual suggestion" is stuff like "Stop bullying against 3.0" "Make basic English a rule on ROBLOX" etc then you are a complete idiot. This is perfectly logical, if you cannot afford a dominus, buy Robux, there are plenty of hats you own you could comment on if this Is implemented.

It doesn't matter, look at the comments of at least 1 hat, I guarantee that there's massive bot spam for free tickets and robux, It's annoying, and people mass produce bots and then use the acc's taken from the bot spam to spam even more, this would eliminate by (at least my estimate) %90 of spam.

Supported. This would actually make comment sections useful, containing feedback and discussions pertaining to specific gear and places, cutting out 95% of the typical spam posted on all items and places from freebies.
Sure we will lose some opinions from non buyers, but those are largely unimportant due to a lack of experience, most posts are spam regardless, and if people want to talk about a gear they don't have that's what the forums are for. |
