Chapter 1

Falling asleep that night wasn't difficult for Travis. Stressed and tired from the long day he found the bed rather inviting. Slumber slowly swept over him and he didn't put up a fight. Rather strange for him as his body was rather active, but his mind was near the sleeping state.
The alarm went off making the Vaktovian sit up quickly. He was used to this, it was the same cycle everyday. No reason to eat, which was the one downside of being perfect. He really couldn't eat. That part he will definitely miss. Pleasure to the tastebuds, and all he could do was imagine. He got himself into uniform and proceeded out the door to begin a vicious cycle.
The building wasn't that impressive. Single story and a couple of windows, no gate, and lawn that was far from green and possibly closer to dead if anything. He approached the door and knocked several times, after a few seconds it swung open revealing a rather large interior.
"Come in" said the Vaktovian with a smile. He hesitated a little and walked in shutting the door behind him. Not moving far from the threshold he took a look around and found several injured veterans conversing with each other. Small groups, nothing too big. As he began to move all the attention was on him. The conversations stopped and a few faint whispers could be heard. Heads swiveled as he walked by towards the center of the lobby. He finally stopped and grabbed one of the seats that formed the circle.
He looked around trying to gather his surroundings. Seats began to fill and soon no one was standing except for the group leader. Taking one last look at Travis and looking around, albeit at nothing in particular, he asked everyone to introduce themselves one by one. It got down to a few more Vaktovians before it was his turn. The one right before him stood up and introduced himself.
"Hello, my name is Sadcamp"
