wikipedia isnt inherently bad, it's crowdsourced knowledge and much of it is verified by several sources, don't hate on it just because it is abused in rare occasions.

I read on one of these posts once that the US didn't help WWII at all... Some of you are getting to a whole new level of stupid. I'm not one to love the US either, I think a number of them are disrespectful to other cultures, but they did help the war, and British people aren't any better. nobody worth listening to has ever said the war could have been won without America's aid, but at the same time, nobody worth listening to can ever discount the bravery of those individuals who were willing to stand militarily alone against the might of the Axis when they were offered an out at every step.

well the spitfire was certainly the best fighter in the battle of britain i think the battle of britain was probably the most significant ww2 battle britain fought with no american help (polish helped a lot though) to be honest germany never had a chance at invading britain to invade an island like britain you would need both air and naval superiority, none of which germany ever had invasion-wise
