No. Dragon Ball Z is so unlike all Anime it should be in a separate class. And I did not say I don't like it, but Dragon Ball Z is ten times better than it. It is simply fact.

Part 3:
Lucy turned around to see who was talking to her. It was the girl, the one who walked into the cafe with her boyfriend, but were never actually found inside. Lucy didn't know what to say. "Y-You..." Lucy stuttered. "You're the girl from the cafe."
"I am." The girl said. "I even threw a box at you in the storage room."
"Why did you do that?" Lucy asked. "You scared the life out of me."
The girl looked at Lucy's dead body and smirked. "Literally." She said. "Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that, yes, you are a ghost, just like my boyfriend and I."
"Wait, if you're a ghost too, how did I see you and your boyfriend walk into the cafe?" Lucy asked. "I thought that people weren't supposed to see ghosts, after what happened with the doctor and I."
"Well, they aren't SUPPOSED to, but some people can." The girl said. "We like to call them Ghost Whisperers."
"So, I was a Ghost Whisperer?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, I guess." The girl said. "Listen, Lacey, I have to go. I can teach you more about being a ghost tomorrow, if you want to."
"Sure." Lucy said. "Also, my name is Lucy."
The girl disappeared after that, without saying anything else. Lucy didn't know what to do next. After a few minutes of figuring it out, Lucy knew what she had to do, even if she wasn't emotionally ready. She was going to give her friends and family a visit. |

It was good as usual, but I feel that Lucy isn't fully feeling the emotional impact one would normally have from this kind of experience. Still good, though.

i'm not good at dealing with emotions in my writing
like when sara's dad died in the truth about my school
but i'm going to try really hard in the next chapter because lucy's going to get emotional about her family mourning her death

Piggybacking off of what was said earlier, you do need to work a bit on expressing emotions. The best way to do that is the use of certain words, actions, or putting emphasis on one of the two. As for the longer paragraphs, it's actually much easier than it seems. Instead of cutting little pieces up like you have been doing, just string two together. Or as your typing, just keep going. Don't think about a stopping point, just keep going until you feel the end point is natural. Again, this is just advice from someone who writes often, and sees potential. Adios chica. |
