First of all, I would like to say that I am not copying Mount and Blade, I am just using the basic concept.
So my 'idea' is to make a game called either "The General" or "Commander" (Please comment also which one would sound better)
This game will be set in the Napoleonic era. It will start off with Single Player Mode, and later have 2-Player Mode.
Single Player Mode - You will first choose your faction. Ex: Prussia, Great Britain, France, Ottoman Empire etc. After this you will have 2 choices of Generals from that particular Faction, or you may pay a few robux to either create your own General, or buy a famous General to use. When choosing Generals, or buying them, or creating one, you will have to take into consideration that General's abilities and effects. These will determine your troops morale, what you can do, etc. (NOTE - If you buy your own General it will save for that Faction) You will then choose your Opposing Faction, some Factions will be weaker, and some stronger. If you are new, you can choose an easier faction to start with and then challenge yourself later with more challenging factions. Once you choose your Opponent, you will select your troops. After this stage your troops will be placed on a randomly generated battle field, and you can lay your troops out how you want to begin. You will then battle out your opponent by moving them, commanding them, and watching them battle. Winning will give you XP which is called "Glory", and you can level up, this will allow you to be able to buy different kinds of troops, upgrade troops, and have more troop slots. Losing will give you minimal Glory.
2 Player Mode - You may either choose to be randomly matched, or create your own battle and invite a friend. You will both choose your Factions, and then Generals. You will be able to choose from Generals you have purchased! You will then select your troops (which you will also be able to choose from the ones you have earned/bought) and battle your opponent in a randomly generated map.
This is just the base idea, leave comments with your suggestions, ideas, questions, and concerns. I will update this with a new forum post later on. |
