Though I like the join-date being displayed, everything else is just impractical to me. The old version had everything (games, groups, inventory) all laid out in titled-tabs where you could see and access them all with relative ease.
Now, I have to go through three pages just to see somebody's models. The side-scrolling through games one-by-one gives me a feeling of drifting through an ocean of games with no end in sight, and just look at the resolution on those thumbnails. Yuck.
I have to go to the "Home" page just to get to my favorites (unless I'm not seeing them on my profile page) which is just another page to go through to get where I want to be, something I didn't have to do with the old layout.
All-in-all, I'd say this update was unnecessary and has just made things more tedious to get to. I liked being able to get anywhere I wanted on a profile page (inventory, games, favorites, groups) without having to leave that page. The update wasn't needed and it has made things more tedious/time consuming, and the minor features they did add like seeing join-dates, could've been done without making people go through a multitude of pages to get anywhere. Pretty bad from an objective standpoint.
From the subjective standpoint, I think it looks tacky; I was rather perturbed to see my bography go from a nice top-down order with spaces between the information, to just being smashed into one big paragraph. And once again, those thumbnails on the side-scroll boxes... My paid thumbnail seems to have disappeared from one of my games' thumbnail as whale, at least on the profile page, and only shows up on that game's individual page. Minor, but still a supporting factor in my dislike for the set-up.
Just unnecessary.
