Here me out: Notre Dame kicked butt over ranked #14 Georgia Tech, a team that scored 60 points in its first 2 games, they held to 7 until a minute left in the game. With backup Kizer at QB, there seems to be no dropoff from Malik Zaire. They looked dominant against Texas in Week 1, although there was struggle against Virginia, which is questioning. BYU has Mangum, the haily mary Mormon god. He has defeated the likes of Nebraska, Boise State, and is now on his way leading UCLA early. If he wins this game, who can't he beat? His next best opponent is Missouri, that had to resort to intercepting a fake field goal to win the game against UCONN. People that think Michigan will be a challenge are insane.

If Notre Dame is undefeated, of course they're in, no ifs buts or whats, I'm going straight to BYU: at Nebraska, vs Boise State, at UCLA, at Michigan, and vs Missouri...I think that should be enough to get them in, but they're going to also have to beat up on teams like ECU, Cincinnati...Teams who are solid but you would like to see BYU make quick work of them, or else they are going to get blasted in the CFB Playoff.

ECU isn't good this year. Can't believe I missed Cincinnati though. They will be a bigger challenge than Michigan.

byu has the 3rd hardest schedule in college football statistically. they will be in if they run the table regardless of how they do it ~Blizzaria/Redshaman/Zerova/TheSliceOfLife

There is no way the committee would allow 2 independent teams

"byu has the 3rd hardest schedule in college football statistically. they will be in if they run the table regardless of how they do it" Are you pulling statistics out of your ass because this is far from the truth

@drbat if there's a lot of 1-loss teams, they'll take a 12-0 BYU and a 12-0 ND

I highly doubt that sir.

why was a 12-0 FSU taken over an 11-1 TCU last year who was obviously a better team?

"why was a 12-0 FSU taken over an 11-1 TCU last year who was obviously a better team?" After your whole shtick about "power 5 conferences" in the other thread you're really going to ask this

Because FSU was the only ACC team. If I remember correctly Baylor made the playoffs.

"After your whole shtick about "power 5 conferences" in the other thread you're really going to ask this" The ACC shouldn't be a power 5 conference, that's all I will say. "Because FSU was the only ACC team. If I remember correctly Baylor made the playoffs." ummm, the playoff teams were Alabama, Oregon, FSU, and Ohio State

O mb I'm on my phone and don't del like checking. FSU was 12-0. The thing is, they would never take 2 teams from the same conference much less 2 independent teams.

BYU and Notre Dame are pretty much Power 5 teams though.

I wouldn't consider BYU a power conference team. They don't play a very hard schedule. They might always have a winning season but it is never anything like 10 wins or more.

They are definitely a power 5 team.

BYU has been a tough team for years now, especially on defense. They are a power 5 school.

1) Both Notre Dame and BYU definitely have the prestige of a Power 5 school if Vanderbilt, Kansas, and Colorado are considered such 2) RIP BYU.

A 1 pt loss to UCLA is impressive. Definitely potential to be a new year bowl team
