The Council of Vemtrai disbands as the fracture of the Empire is complete. The strife that engulfed the ages-old Treti Empire is laid to rest. Almost overnight maps are redrawn and peoples find themselves under local rulers, enjoying their new freedom. However in the Reshten Valley, a land circled by mountains and wrought through by rivers, their stability was short-lived. Feudalism was hard to kill in the rest of the Empire, and in the Reshten Valley it never died. Local rulers merely consolidated their power and waited for the Empire to collapse. Though successive Emperors attempted to clamp down on the bloodshed, the distinct and fiery people fought every time and bled the Empire dry in their resistance. Local nobles and their private armies kept the peace and paid their nominal taxes to the Empire, unifying only to resist the attempts to centralize. As the Empire's armies grew weaker, and black powder came to the land, it merely became easier for peoples to shake the shackles of the Treti off of them. The arquebus and matchlock gave way to the flintlock musket and closed-order infantry lines, pikes and bows being thrown out of service to levy the masses to war. You are one of these nobles of the Reshten Valley. Free of the yoke of the Treti, the Crown of the Reshten is open for anyone to claim... will you? ======================== =TL;DR and useful info= This is a 1700's-era nation roleplay. You are a noble in the Reshten Valley, a Hungary-esque land just opened up to internal bloodletting. Your goal is to become King or Queen though war, alliances, assassinations or whatever other methods you feel you need to use. Year: 754 C.I.Y. Population of the Reshten Valley: 5.6 million Everyones' Species: Human because I don't want to make special aliens for this ======================== =Rules= 0. I always have final say, no exceptions. 1. Don't kill other player characters without permission or extreme circumstances. E.g. a duel and they refuse to yield despite being unarmed. 2. Be realistic. You aren't going to magically raise a 200,000 soldier army in two posts. 3. Don't be a jerk. Just don't. It ruins the experience for everyone. 4. You get one strike. After that you're banned. ======================== =Sheets= Character Sheet Name: Age: Appearance: Allegiance: Role/Job/Rank: Biography (Optional) Nation Sheet Name: (Duchy/County) of (Name) Rank (County or Duchy): Population (At most 600,000): Capital City: Major Cities: History:
