I'm finished the Maze Runner and Scorch Trials which leaves me to the Death Cure and Kill Order to finish the series
And I'm thinking on reading the hunger games after that.
Also is it good for a 10 year old? (I'm mature) |

if you like a lady crying in a corner/closet/tree the whole book

Yes, I enjoy the part when the girl gets stung to death. Hilarious. |

I read the Hunger Games when I was 10, read it. (Don't bother with kill order, you might like it, but it was so boring I couldn't finish it.)

Hunger Games is pretty good. I've read all 3. The best is the third book.
I don't suggest trying Kill Order. I could barely get myself to go past the tenth page. It's so boring.
You should read Dashner's other series, the Mortal Doctrine [Something Like That]
Am I supposed to say something inspirational or something? |

Are the characters in the movies anything like the characters in the books?
If so, remind me to never read the books
Because nearly ever character was utter sh.it
And plots holes
Ughhhh the plot holes

poor characters, tryhard-realistic story in an unrealistic setting, de angst

I read it at 10 but beware it is REALLY MATURE!! It shouldnt even be a YA book, it should be a Adult book. It's really violent and has mature themes. |

plot holes? Name all plot holes |

i liked it when i was younger, but as i aged a little bit, it began to occur to me what a terrible series the hunger games is, badly written story, badly written characters. even when i did like the hunger games, i always hated katniss as the main character. like, in the first book, i understand that collins wanted to focus more on the characters more essential to the plot, but basically she left the majority of the participants of the hunger games to the wolves, for god sake, half of them (or more) weren't even named. of course, this is just my opinion |

"plot holes? Name all plot holes"
To stop rebellions, the higher ups decided to create a scenario in which everyone is on edge and ready to kill
Peeta is somehow able to perfectly disguise himself like a tree solely because he decorates god damn cakes
In a post-apocalyptic world where resources such as bread are scarce, cake decorating is a thing
The trainer guy who nobody gives a sh.it about goes on and on that katniss needs to get people to like her, but nothing ever comes of it. He's the only one that actually sends her sh.it
Katness decided that in a fight to the death, it'd be a good idea to team up with some random girl with absolutely no skills of her own
A district of all black people who've never actually won decide that this particular year they should rebel, solely because the stupid black girl died
The bad guys are bad guys solely for the fact that they're smart enough to train potential picks and win every year
The higher ups pu.ssy out at the last second when Peeta and Katniss decide to threaten suicide, even though they had a multitude of ways to make sure on out lasts the other
Peeta agreed to eat the berries
That's just from the first book, and what i can remember off the top of my head
I'm sure if I cared enough out the rest of the series to read it, I'd find a multitude of other holes.

Those aren't plot holes, it's told by Katniss' perspective... |
|
|
Oh and The Maze Runner series has A WHOLE LOT of plot holes, also in The Hunger Games it's told by Katniss but first-person perspective does not equal bad... |

You don't understand what "plot holes" are, do you?

Ty for saying the cake decorating thing, I always saw that one as absurd too. And yes the Maze runners has a lot of plot holes, most of them are in the sequels. I think the whole zombie apocalypse was the moment it was ruined for me. It just became generic to the point where I hated it. Which hurts even more because i liked the maze idea. |

Actually, you dont understand plot holes, plot holes is something in a book or movie that is left unexplained or doesn't make sense. |

"Actually, you don't understand plot holes, plot holes is something in a book or movie that is left unexplained or doesn't make sense."
"A plot hole or plothole is an obvious mistake or missing element in the plot of a fictional work, such as a book, play, film, or TV show. These include such things as illogical or impossible events, and statements or events that contradict earlier events in the storyline."
Taken directly from google
All the things I listed are plot holes
They don't make any god da.mn sense
A first person perspe.ctive doesn't fix plot holes
