John Smoltz was the most recent pitcher to allow a run to the Pirates before Cueto in 20132. It was the 6th inning in Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS. Braves would win that game by scoring 3 in the 9th to walkoff themselves into the World Series.

2013* If you wanna go back to the last time the Pirates won a 5 to 7 game series. It would be the 1979 World Series. They lost 3 consecutive NLCS's in the early 90s, and then had a very long drought.
