It's self-implied the act happened for a reason. Why did person x r@pe person y? Because person x decided to r@pe person y. Why did person x eat a sandwich? because person x decided to eat a sandwich. There really is nothing wrong with saying the first thing listed here, I'm just guessing people immediately got triggered and forgot to think about what was actually said properly. |

The context of the first thing being said was that he meant it in a religious sense, not linguistic. Although ducky is correct from a linguistic standpoint. Bieber was talking about "I believe everything happens because God has a reason behind it", which is a tad more than just linguistic. |
