Hello! I'm trying to make a free for all fighting game and I need some ideas on how to balance out my damage formula. The game im making is somewhat like strife but im trying to add some unique aspect such as grappling and other fun stuff. But im having trouble on how to balance out damage. Most of the weapons im making: > Usually have 3-5 main attack combo > Has multiple special attacks (ex: ground pound, explosion punch, quick attack) assuming the main combo is always 4 hits on average, how much damage should one hit deal to a player with 100 health? I wanna make the fighting not draw out too long because players tend to run away when low on health but I don't want this to be a sword fight-type game where you can kill a player in just a second. Any ideas on weapons would be nice! Current Thought of Weapons: Blazing Gauntlets (concept from rwby XD) Greaper (concept from Tokyo Ghoul) Gunblade (because why not)

i would think something between 5-15 so it takes around 7 hits to kill somebody its not too powerful and not too weak. It also makes a big combo take out 2 or 3/4 of health
