ID Help (Still Confused)

So, I'm trying to make an NPC of me in RobloxStudio and the ID doesn't seem to work correctly. So, I'll grab an NPC already with a shirt in the toolbox (freemodels) and click on his shirt tab. I'll then replace his shirt ID with mine. I hit enter and nothing happens, the shirt just disappears as a whole. Do I need to have the shirt as a model/decal so it can have an asset ID, or...

subtract 1 from the ID if - that doesnt work then - subtract 1 again until complete loop end ✗

Go into play mode. Select your character. Set Archivable to true. Press ctrl + c. Exit play mode. Press ctrl + v.
