Making an entirely new game for an update so that you can reset all of the gamepasses forcing people to rebuy them because you chose not to transfer them. Users that do this should be promptly terminated for scamming.

Surprised that the popular developers are not doing this. *cough cough*

Dude, usually devs will give people a warning for that kinda stuff. It's not scamming if you got what you wanted. Oh sure, they might have made a remake, but you still have your stuff in the original game, right? ...wait a second... you're talking about Skybound, aren't you?

not gonna happen there's a difference between doing something like "R$____ for beating this obby" and making things like game passes and dev products and then moving to a completely different game without transferring the items. it's entirely YOUR choice for buying game passes and dev products. I've had a friend get super ticked when he spent over R$1K worth in a guy's game and he made a sequel but didn't transfer said gamepasses to the next game, so it's not the first of ranting about this and given from what he said, I'd be ticked too. But again, it's entirely your choice. Especially if it's a dev's game, because it's also their choice if they want to do a huge move like that as well. Checkmate.

Example: ITA's Rome is being transferred to a new version of the same exact game and the current one is becoming obsolete. This is no different than stealing away the hundreds, if not thousands in robux that many people -- including myself -- have spent on this game. It's the same damn game.

it's the dev's choice. you took the risk to buy said gamepasses or developer products. Checkmate.

There have been two points. > Devs can do what they want > It's your decision to invest in this 'might be happening' thing Let me remind you all of how much money was dropped with admin t-shirts. There is nobody with an admin t-shirt from 3.0+ and all assets that were invested are locked away in some account that has been removed or not used.

That's like saying it's your decision to walk out of your house and if you get murdered it's your fault for taking the risk. And no devs cannot "do what they want." Scamming is a crime and technically it is ACTUALLY wait for it... ILLEGAL to do this.

"That's like saying it's your decision to walk out of your house and if you get murdered it's your fault for taking the risk." how you gon' compare R$ loss to murder tf and their game, they can by definition, a scam is "a dishonest scheme; a fraud." they still gave the game. the fact that they moved it over and didn't transfer isn't a scam. a scam would be those BC games where it claims to give R$ for winning not transferring gamepasses/dev products to the same game w/ new features and whatnot isn't scamming because of the fact that you actually did receive what you paid for. there's the difference. a scam would mean you got nothing. here you got your items; you're just pissed that it didn't transfer over. Checkmate.

It's a scam if they choose not to fix it. The functions PlayerHasPass and PlayerOwnsAsset are used and two arguments of each are the ID of the player and the ID of the gamepass. That means they can check if you own it across games.

'im waiting for this to happen to 0nesh0t and then watch him supporting this thread" hahahahahaha no again though you could probably take it up with the creator of the game you paid for those passes or even take the evidence to the mods and wait for a reaction. something specific like this probably won't happen because, like i've said before, it's their game. it's not blatant scamming like the fake obby for R$ ones because all that's happening is that he's transferring the game over but not any of the passes/products. or nothing at all could happen and you could just et ignored majorly. Checkmate.
