Before I begin, let me make this clear: I don't mind sponsored gear. I don't mind sponsored hats. I don't mind sponsored events. I don't even mind Dev Events, as long as the games are well-done and the prizes aren't rigged. I don't mind ROBLOX getting money, as long as it's fair. However. This event is extremely self-contradictory. Let me point out the most prominent problem, for those of you who don't have a keen eye for the obvious: The event has nothing to do with its name. I was online when it first appeared. At first, it said "The Good Dinosaur." I expected a normal sponsored event, just like anyone else with half a brain might. Yet, a few clicks afterwards, I find that spot replaced with "Bloxgiving." The event was the exact same, but with a different name. What is this? A plot to lure in as many customers as possible? Aye, I tell you, 'tis naught but dishonesty and greed. Dishonesty, for the name is much too misleading. Greed, NOT because Roblox is trying to get money, but in the way they are doing it- doing anything to rake in as much moolah as they can. I repeat that I do not mind sponsored events, but to make an event revolving around an advertisement and tagging it as a Thanksgiving party? Is this not too much? I would rather have no Thanksgiving at all than be lied to by a big business. The event is so loosely tied together- To reconcile dinosaurs with Thanksgiving, for example, we say that we are thankful for dinosaurs. This is a bit of a stretch, but I guess it could work, if it was done properly. However, it is not. Only one of the game relates to what's being advertised, and- what's worse- NOTHING is related to Thanksgiving, which is supposed to be the main focus. Another fault with the games is that the prizes they offer are not always fair. For example, Lumber Tycoon 2 has a randomly generated pair of sunglasses that appears somewhere on its map- which is quite large, may I remind you. For those players who want to try and find it, they have a couple options: If they're an experienced player who knows the map and already has a car or the money for transport, they can use those advantages. But if they're a new player, they have no money. No car. No experience at all. New players, good luck walking slowly and wandering the map. Maybe, just maybe, you'll get really lucky. Otherwise, you're outta luck. In this case, the rich man has an advantage over the poor man. This, my friend, is flawed. For a game to be fair, the odds need to be evenly spread. The map is too large, the rich players have a large advantage, and the odds are unbalanced. In this game, random placement isn't enough to balance out the advantages. Epic Mining 2 is a little better fitted for fairness. The ores are randomly generated, and, on top of that, it's random of which quartz blocks contain the key. Players need no prior experience at all- only a basic understanding of how the game works, which is not difficult to attain at all. Because there are no advantages, this game is fair. It needs to be a standard for all Developer Events to be able to adjust their game accordingly. If a developer can't adjust their game to make it a fair shot at winning a prize, or if their game just isn't compatible for that event, then DON'T make that game a part of the event. It's unfair and justifies more of the complaints buzzing around. Another thing that developers need to adjust is the SETTING. For example, if there's a game centered around mining in an event [that's supposed to be] centered around autumn, then the game should add in a few things to comply to the theme- For example, change the color scheme above-ground to golds and oranges and browns and maybe add in a pumpkin or two, whatever their preference. Maybe the developers are just not finished changing their maps yet. I sincerely hope so, for the sake of the Roblox community, as well as to uphold a great legacy of good games and fun times together with your friends. One thing that certainly won't change, however, is the fact that Roblox has labeled a movie advertisement as a holiday event. The truth of the matter is, Thanksgiving has nothing remarkable to do with dinosaurs, and it never will. To attempt to mold them together in a scale as large as this is too large of a stretch. Nobody's buying it. Call this commercial what it is, and stop lying to us. This event is a dinosaur one, not a Thanksgiving. If we're going to have a Bloxgiving this year, make it a Bloxgiving. Otherwise, don't do it at all. I don't care what they paid you to do it- the truth is priceless. Overall, I'm not asking you to change the entire event. I'm just asking that you present it as it is. Don't lie and say it is what it's so obviously not. The only thing that'll do is anger your players and put even MORE spam on the front forums. Again, I repeat, I have no problems with Devents nor sponsored events. I just plead that, if they must be mixed, it is done so in a way that is relevant and revolves around one main idea. Otherwise, it'll all fall apart. Comment what you will; I won't stop you. Delete this thread, even, if you will- but only if you've read this. It's obvious I'm not an idiot who posts one or two grammatically incorrect sentences in a post, after all. Hold your colors against the wall, when they take everything away.

TL;DR Don't post if you don't know what you've read (or haven't read at all). Hold your colors against the wall, when they take everything away.

Agreed. ROBLOX has been flawed lately in its events. Every event lately is sponsored, and I am not a big fan of it. Halloween=Nerf??? I understand the Zombie Strike bit, but centering an entire event around it is a bad idea. Have it just sponsored, but don't push it. But you know that things are getting bad when, I noticed, the last sentence on every recent event page is: "This is advertising." It's almost like they're hypnotizing us to buy or watch or do whatever. At least try to have a sponsor that is relevant to the event's main idea, which, by the way, should NOT be a product, show, movie, etc.
