now i'm assuming many of you have played games and watched movies where a character has used some sort of handgun called a "Colt .45" - maybe it's a wwii game, maybe it's some movie with grenades exploding like a hairspray flamethrower, but it seems to be common in them
now, i want you to search this gun up on wikipedia, you'll find something curious
rather, you won't find anything
this gun does not exist
how did a non-existent gun proliferate so much media? |

i've heard it's an analog for the m1911 but that gun had seven-round magazines and a wooden plates on the grip, whereas this one has black metal plates |
