It seems you're already pretty sure, but let me just warn you: checking that box significantly increases lag and may make users with poor internet unable to play.

Why would enabling filtering enabled cause lag? Only poorly written code causes lag.

People that say FE creates or increases lag are either trolling or have no experience with it. My PC is a potato, it can barely handle 20K+ Parts on a non FE game before falling below 10 FPS. Yet simply turning FE on seems to allow for MUCH higher part amounts while maintaining usable FPS. My internet connection is with wifi and on average I get ~2 MBPS.

heavy is right FE increases PSU usage which slows down your ram speed aka more lag

but your game would be extremely fat if you didn't use FE and it the lag shouldn't be significant if you script everything correctly
