If we can't talk about religion/politics on the forums, what's the point of allowing groups that discuss the topics? |
|
|
Most of the time it leads to flame wars. Groups discussing the topic are usually about the topic so it's usually not going to happen. If flame wars do appear on the group walls it can still be banned just like any other flame war. |

There was this forum called Global Chat, which was meant for political discussions... it was deleted because of that. |

A flame war in a group can be banned just like a flame war in the forums, why restrict one and allow another? |

It's not meant to be like that, but in global chat there might have been just political discussions but its like a human instinct that they become flame wars, that is why global chat was deleted. |

With anonymous posters it would be great. Like not showing people's usernames when they post so they can't be retaliated against. |

Groups are user made while Global Chat was ROBLOX made, so basically something OFFICIAL existed that caused too much flame wars. |
|
|
Again, because groups do not usually have flame wars. When there are groups about Christianity then the people who join them are mainly Christians. Christians don't have flame wars with other Christians. If there are flame wars then they DO follow the same rules. The reason one is banned over the other is simply because on forums where it's MEANT for open-ended discussion flame wars are practically a given. |

I've seen plenty of flame wars in plenty of groups (since I'm in the Atheists of ROBLOX Group), as much, if not more than in GC sub-forum. |

|
When you're doing something site-wide one example doesn't cut it. |

There are a bunch of Religious/Political groups site wide, and in my opinion it seems that a lot more people on ROBLOX are group oriented than forum oriented. |

"as much, if not more than in GC sub-forum."
Considering I was part of the GC sub-forum (I don't recall if you were or not), I guarantee that it had more flame than any political group on ROBLOX. Every single thread on that forum was either some kind of 'bait', some racist remark, some way of trolling, or some religious flame war.
GC had every few civilized discussions, although, I do miss it. |
