i have a school issued chromebook
they are good tools for schools to use.
schools can actually have lots of control over chromebooks, they can even block the dinosaur game that chrome has when you cant load a page bc lack of internet or something.
they are more cheap than most laptops, but they are worth it tho. keys only come off if you are rough with your chromebook. but you needa be consistently rough for like a month term. control, accessibility, it's actually pretty great. 7-10 second turn on, the web browsing is amazing, and you can't get viruses on a chromebook. (the built in security is great)
you don't needa worry bout a thousand mcafee or some other trash virus/malware protection junk things needing to update. screens going insane, cursors and text options breaking, is not a thing, may become a thing on a rare occasion, but no one in my district (about 3k kids) have had something like that go wrong.
other than that.
chromebooks are meant for web browsing, and google softwares. they aren't meant for games. you can play browser games tho.
