So, this isn't going to be a regular "my sound ain't wurkin'" kind of post.
For the past week, I've been having issues with sound in-game Roblox. I've tried looking for answers, but have found nothing that works thus far. So I've decided to come to the forum as a last resort kind of thing.
The issue is that sound in-game "tends" to not work. What I mean by this is that, if my camera is facing towards something (something in my field of view) making noise, for example, two sword fighters, no noise is heard. However, when my camera is facing away from them, the regular sound kicks back in and you can hear them fighting, walking, and jumping around. It seems only to be when facing towards something that should make noise. Not only that, but other noises can be heard, such as the sound-byte made when you turn the in-game volume up and down, or noises pertaining to your own screen, such as a ding made from a GUI. It seems to only be Roblox that does this, anything other than Roblox works just fine for sound, so I highly doubt it is a sound card issue, and I doubt it would be a compatibility issue because it was working fine with everything the same as is before.
Now, before you all tell me to "turn up my sound" or "fix your sound card" and what not, I'll tell you what I've tried.
1. Turning up the Roblox in-game volume (it was already all the way up, but I decided to turn it down then up, just to see.)
2. Configuring my mixer volume for Roblox when in-game, putting it at different percentage levels.
3. Restarting my computer to see if it might be a sound card glitch.
4. Completely removing Roblox from my computer, like wiping it and all of the components and re-downloading it.
5. Attempted on a different computer, the sound worked, but it was a different OS.
6. Probably something else, but I'm forgetting it.
The TV monitor speakers and my headphones are the same way, having the same issue.
Now, has anyone else been experiencing these same exact issues? I know one person who is, but I don't know if it is for others as well.
Anyway, if you know what the issue is, or perhaps a fix, then a reply would be appreciated. Thank you. |

This has also been happening to me, and two other people who replied to my thread ( http://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=179294373 ).
One more thing to back it up with: This hasn't happened when watching YouTube videos or playing games such as GTA IV, Jet Set Radio, Garry's Mod, or TF2.

i've been emailing ROBLOX about it, all they keep doing is asking for more information which i do provide. hopefully they give a real fix soon.

This happens to me in phantom forces I can hear everyone else's gunshots
except for mine all can hear from me is the hit marks.
and it happens to me in ultimate driving!
one day the sound is fine the next day I cant hear the sounds!

Still isn't working. After 11 messages, they finally decide to forward the messages to a ROBLOX engineer.

Well, this is most certainly depressing. I'd like to be able to hear the sound in-game. |
