According to one of my friends (manamus12) his friend, who is an intern at ROBLOX (rukiryo) says they wont bother with problems a few people have until they can fix the general problem; Exploiting.

I got a reply from Roblox, however, the reply focused on audio you can add to the game. Anyone know what the audio from the catalog/library is?
Yeah, it didn't actually involve anything to fix the issue. |

Personally, I think the response from Roblox is just an automated one, one made to be ambiguous so it can be made to believe that they are doing something about it.
If they actually did, that's great, now they just need to get up and actually look at it. |

Whelp, since ROBLOX still hasn't fixed it, I ended up fiddling with my sound settings.
Apparently setting it to anything but StereoMix mutes ROBLOX. |

Lets face the facts: Roblox has horrible customer support and were gonna have to deal with that. Time and time again, Roblox has responded with a bland "yeah we will fix it soon" But they never did anything like that. Cant deal with it? Just get a new platform or quit roblox all together. It seems certain that this wont be fixed |

I finally found a solution to this sound bug we had for so long! You have to update your drivers for your sound card. |

I found a temporary solution to this problem. I usually have my speaker settings set to "Quadraphonic" i.e. four speakers. Some applications use the back two speakers, and others, like Roblox, don't. In addition, Roblox seems to have their sound backward. Noise sources in front of you come out of the back speakers, which don't work. So there is no sound when you look at something that produces sound.
My solution was to set my speaker settings (in windows) to "Sterio". This sacrifices my back two speakers, but forces all the sound to come out of the front two speakers. Thus, you hear sound no matter where the sound source is.
This is definitely a pair problems that Roblox needs to fix. But until then, this is a solution. |
