that's not really true it's on a case-by-case basis, is only true during the most extreme stages of puberty, and washing your face too much can also cause acne

acne varies in different people i started getting a huge breakout a few months ago (end of summer ish) so i looked online to see what i could do, tried some different products for a couple months and they didn't really do much so i got one of those exfoliating brushes and it's worked like a charm, plus my skin is really smooth

you're supposed to have oil in your pores if you rob your face of it's natural oils by washing it too much, your skin becomes dry, irritated, and will then produce 2x as much oil as a response and cause even more acne
