There will be two sections of this playbook, one for games, and one for the league in general. Game rules: - You have 5 seconds to inbound the ball once you pick it up or the official hands you it, failing to do so leads in a turnover. - There is a 5 second offensive violation for a player to stand in the key for over 5 seconds and doing so will lead in a turnover. - Once you cross the halfcourt line on offense with the ball, going back over it counts as a backcourt violation and will lead to a turnover. - We do not enforce a time limit to cross the first half of the court. - Failing to listen to the official can lead to the official ejecting you from the game, it will not be tolerated for delaying the game. - We will have a 35-second shotclock and failing to hit the rim of the opponent's hoop before the shotclock ends results in a turnover. It is a 35-second shotclock because of how slow ROBLOX players are. - Using the foul tool on someone with your team having possession of the ball will result in turnover, using it when on defense will always result in 2 free throws, or 3 free throws when outside the 3 point line. - We will have 8 minute quarters with 2 minute intermissions into each one and a 5 minute halftime. - Jumping with the ball and landing without passing/shooting ends in a turnover, an exception is if the ball sticks then you continue play. It is very noticeable if the ball sticks and the official will be able to tell the difference. - All timeouts are 60 seconds. - We only do substitutions during a timeout or intermission to avoid delay of game. - Any exploiting will end in a ban from the league. League rules: - The maximum amount of players a team can have is 13, including the coach. - You must have at least 5 players at a game to not forfeit. - We won't be doing a draft for the first few seasons so coaches can sign free agents if they agree to it, they must have the player post them agreeing to it on the wall or with a private message. - A total of 3 forfeited games will end in the coach being fired. - All games will be at 8:30 PM EST on Saturday and Sunday, which gives teams tons of time to organize practice. - Coaches may schedule practice at the arena on the wall to have the arena for their own team. - Bribing an official will lead to a 3-game suspension, and an official being found taking bribes will be fired. - One official is required for the game to start, if an official does not show, the game will be rescheduled. These rules may be changed at any point in time.
