Many people fail to realize that doctors have proved that most 26 year olds have the maturity of a 9 year old.

"have you seen a 58 year old man type up overused memes" if you are trying to prove a point with this statement ffs.

i dont think people understand that maturity isn't just being "calm and using large vocabulary words". its about general responsibility and generally dealing with situations in a organized manner. when someone says "im mature for my age", you're not, you're mature for your situation. 13 year olds dont have to deal with finals, deal with harsher standards and more responsibilities. also doesnt help that when comparing oneself to others, you will most likely take the side of yourself, unconscious bias basically.

not sure dealing with finals makes you a more mature person

@m2 it doesn't, but when youre dealing with everything else in your life in a "mature" manner, then you truly are mature at that point. there's different stresses for different ages.

"i've never seen someone under the age of 13 that was mature. not trying to offend any of the younger people out here" boy, I feel offended(not) but really you aren't wrong. I haven't met one person 13 or below that has the maturity to handle anything serious. I have my moments too though, so meh.

No, it actually doesn't. Having friendships outside of your own gender is not significant to maturity. "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits." ~Albert Einstein
