This idea's actually pretty complicated. Just bear with me. Imagine playing a Roblox game at a 180 degree field of view. It would look like you're going at warp speed. But this problem can actually be fixed with a special fisheye effect. Take a look at this gameplay video of someone playing Quake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lijrCPBC2Gg Now, this isn't any ordinary Quake - it's Fisheye Quake at a 150 degree field of view, and yet you can see what's going on. Isn't that cool? The only problem I see with this is the fisheye distortion that results, albeit more tolerable than the usual rectilinear distortion that happens at the edges. So what do you guys think?

I don't know why nobody has replied to this yet. It would not only give you good peripheral vision, it will also open opportunities for Oculus Rift support in the future! What do you think of my idea? Guys?
