This idea's actually pretty complicated. Just bear with me.
Imagine playing a Roblox game at a 180 degree field of view. It would look like you're going at warp speed. But this problem can actually be fixed with a special fisheye effect.

Now, this isn't any ordinary Quake - it's Fisheye Quake at a 150 degree field of view, and yet you can see what's going on. Isn't that cool?
The only problem I see with this is the fisheye distortion that results, albeit more tolerable than the usual rectilinear distortion that happens at the edges.
