To my surprise, a close friend of mine and Secretary of State, fobagosalot resigned. In even more of a coincidence, I resigned from a cabinet-level office on the same day. The real reason your reading this is my 'application' or otherwise known as 'speech' for my opportunity to fill the position.
You may think I'm just one of those regulars who always aim for a position in the cabinet by making a speech when there aren't elections. I am actually an entirely different scenario. I've dedicated a bit under half of my eight term Rockport career to Rockport's 'fake' system of Foreign Affairs. The truth is, Rockport doesn't really even have a Foreign Affairs system.
Rockport has a system where other groups go and send a little message asking to ally. This terrible system isn't involved with real diplomacy in the finest parts. I've spent my time in multiple high ranking positions in the State Department of the 127k member USA. I am a former four time N-USA Ambassador, two time Advisor, and even the Chief of Staff of the department.
I was so well known from my duties, that I was actually invited back by the new Secretary of State in N-USA. I clearly declined. In summary of my career in the Night's USA State Department, I was the first graduate of the ambassadorial academy (when bill was the Secretary of State), served as an ambassador to four countries, and was in one of the highest positions in the entire department.
That's not all. My experience in Rockport can't be foreshadowed. I spent three terms as the Foreign Affairs Committee Head which is notoriously known as the Deputy Secretary of State. I worked under the best of the best including a very good friend of mine, TheNorwegianFury. I learned how to work in the failed Rockport diplomatic system but in the end, it is experience.
In regards to my plan, I have a VERY large one. In the approval of the Governor, I'd work on getting an Executive Order for the State Department. The power given to the Governor and Secretary of State is declared in the most recent updated article of the Constitution, C.I.V.
Here is what C.I.V. states in regards to Foreign Affairs (Rest is capital staff):
“Article V: The Secretary of State and Governor may establish and manage all foreign diplomacy with other states/nations and business partners.”
This article of the Constitution clearly gives power to the Governor and Secretary of State to manage Foreign Affairs. The Department of State would be a MAJOR piece of our new Foreign Policy based on diplomacy.
The Rockport congress is honestly too scared for change. They denied the bill because they think the implementation of Ambassadors and real diplomacy is too much for them. In reality, it's what will be the deciding factor whether the future of Rockport is bright or ends in fire.
That is it, I highly would regard that this 'rant' you could say is reviewed by the Governor. Even if I'm not considered the right person to fill this job, I'd hope my ideas are at least considered.
Thank you,
malistaire

Go for it k. Don't want or need anyone else than one experienced like you to take the spot mk. I'm not going for that spot this term as i have mayor of rem and are busy as developer.
Jesus christ typing this on my phone is a pain for sure |

@Bennam, I dropped out before I wrote this. It's on the election ballot.

@Raven, I'm not power hungry. I don't take jobs with the hope of becoming popular. I decided to write this with the hope my plans in this speech could become a reality. I've brainstormed all of these in the last weeks and this was my brain dump of everything. I worked under you one term for a week at the most. You've also jumped from job to job quite a bit, so don't go around calling others power hungry.

@TechCorn, I've supported you in every election you've ran in since I rejoined. From Secretary of Media to Lieutenant Governor, I still supported you. If all of you are posting hateful things on this thread to try to ruin my chances that are equal to yours, it's not ok.

I do not have to run for it. Cabinet offices are usually always selected by the Governor.

Thank you. At the moment, I'm the only individual who has announced they are interested in the position. I highly doubt meto will go much longer without a Secretary of State.

The State Department is not a feasible thing to do in Rockport.

In some parts, the bill created by meto was a bit too much. He tried to do too much by replicating the State Department of a country. If some of the rank names were changed mainly including "ambassador" I'm sure more supporters of the bill would surface.
I still believe that the State Department in Rockport is legitimate, it's revolves around the documents regarding it need to be edited.

No your not, I was the first one to go for the position until you posted on my thread and I stopped running. |
|
|
You shouldn't have even decided to run in the first place if you didn't even know what the position does.
|

Wow and you do? Basically all you did in your speech was state what you did in NUSA. Even though Rockport is a city, then you just got a piece of the the constitution and put it in your speech. And lastly wow you spent three years as a Committee Head? That's cool enough though that has nothing to do with your speech. You didn't even say what you were gonna do in your position, so before you go judging people why don't you look at yourself first. Ok bud? |
|
|
"Rockport is a city"
Ok bud, before you come attack me, I hope you seriously did not mean to say that 'Rockport is a city." That whole point just ruined your entire argument.

As you claim that I have no plans, read these multiple paragraphs that I wrote.
"In regards to my plans, I have a VERY large one. In the approval of the Governor, I'd work on getting an Executive Order for the State Department. The power given to the Governor and Secretary of State is declared in the most recent updated article of the Constitution, C.I.V.

This article of the Constitution clearly gives power to the Governor and Secretary of State to manage Foreign Affairs. The Department of State would be a MAJOR piece of our new Foreign Policy based on diplomacy."
If we go back and look at your plans you claim that as the Secretary of State, that you'd make sure that "road laws" were followed. Nice job there, mate.

@Blazing, I agree with Mali that of you don't know what Rockport really is, then I don't think you should become Rockport's SOS, nor will I support you in getting it. I man just be a lowling, I don't even have a position in this government, but I care about Rockport and I hope that it may become one of the best, least corrupt, and most know State on Roblox. Rockport has been very good to me and I only want the best to be in control of Rockport. If others who, by what I've seen of how they behave and aren't the best suite for Rockport, become the HC of rockport by legal means, I'm fine with that. |
