Yeah they aren't that bad, just overrated. I guess I just like to hate things. |

The Beatles is a category I have of bands I don't listen to terribly often just because of personal preference and bands who I have held close to my heart. But a band I still give an unprecedented amount of respect to for what they did with here genre. Saying that the beatles suck is like saying Martin Luther King sucks. They are no longer people, they are icons, they are legends. They are not up for criticism they are beyond that. |

As much as I like the Beatles, the "they're legends" defense is awful.
I mean, Mao Zedong starved millions to death and is a symbol of human history. |

True, but there are people who are beyond criticism like The Beatles. Then there are people who are beyond praise like Mao, who when they are defended it makes the defender look like an idiot. |
