2. Why do we need to understand what otherkin is? And how is it suggested that most people don't know what it is already?
3. There's a difference between framing and claiming. You could call everyone you mean in that much detail, but if someone actually claims to identify with that much detail and insists everyone abide by that, especially if they are claiming they are ridiculous and crazy things like "glassgender", it's a problem.

I never said anyone had to. And it's very clear most people here understand what it is, but don't understand why it's done.

It's strawmanning. Nobody actually does that, which is what I was saying in the first place. You see, everyone has a bunch of different things that play roles into their identities. It's silly to just act like certain ones aren't legitimate just because they're regarded as "less common" by highly [subjective] social standards.
