Woke up this morning and turned on the news. First thing I saw was that David Bowie died. I cried for awhile and went to school... and cried more. You are my idol, David, and I will not forget the amazing work you have done. I will continue to do music. (Life On Mars for 6 hours straight)

Lol, why would you even question quitting music over the death of some guy you never knew.

Even though you don't personally know the person that died it cans till hurt. I've had many artist i looked up to, while i was growing up as a kid and seeing them pass away over night can hurt badly.

Lol, you clearly didn't read what I said. I didn't say that he wasn't an inspiration, he is an inspiration to me. Many great artists are dead, don't let the death of your heroes determine your music career, let them enhance it.

The fact that you quit your band when someone died...you must be a bass player. My solution to this is have an idol who is already dead (Kurt Cobain). Then you won't have to worry about that crap.

lmao not in a band an I don't play bass still a matter of opinion over the guy. Seems to me he influenced me than to most people responding to this. By quitting music I meant to take a short break from what I've been doing to remember him. The OP was more of a letter to no where, explaining how I felt about his death, and then it turns into a semi-argument.
