Holy crap this is actually really cool. I'm reading what Sorcus is saying and it will have cool options and stuff.
I'm pretty sure game developers will have to enable 4.0 in their games, so it's all optional. |

Omg, there is one sentence Sorcus says that sounds really exciting. Some devs think that Sorcus is just kidding, but if he's not, July 2016 is going to be seriously awesome.

yeah, there are a lot of cool new opportunities with the new avatar. my only concern is that it doesn't really fit in with the current aesthetics available with the building tools we have right now. if we could get some more professional modelling tools, we could make some seriously cool graphics. |

if you aren't gonna give us any information why are you even making this thread |

"if we could get some more professional modelling tools, we could make some seriously cool graphics."
Well, we'll kind of get that. On Sorcus' thread, look where it says "After July 2016". UGC = User Generated Content I assume.
Although I think all we really need are 'filters', stuff to change the whole appearance of the game. Stuff like adding large outlines to make it more cartoony, or adding adjustable curves to blocks. |

i think he was just referring to hats and gear with the ugc thing. i'd like to be able to make cool 3d models in studio. filters may become a thing eventually, btw. did you see the hackweek shaders video? if not, i would suggest watching it. it has some stuff that we need, like depth of field, bold outlines, saturation, etc. looks awesome. |

Like I said, I kinda forgot about it. Gonna check out on some of the stuff I missed now though.
That certainly sounds awesome though. So many cool features to look forward to ^^ |

maybe they'll bring back user-made meshes to cope with the "realism" of the avatar? |

"Is there a actual link to sorcus's post
I want to read it"
you can't view it unless you are a dev forum member. |
