@op
Watch some J-Vloggers that tell you about their stories, etc.
What your experience between a large city or a small town by the beach will be far different.

Yeah, Rachel and Jun, Sharla, kanadajin if you like her (there's been some controversy with her and I find her a bit annoying), Texan in Tokyo, Abroad in Japan, gimmeabreakman/gimmeaflake man. Lots of J-vloggers to watch that would probably be pretty helpful.
There are a few videos I've seen specifically from exchange students as opposed to ex-pats like most of the above are, but I can't remember their channel names. |

@junjoe actually I have a test in a couple months about Japan, so I am going there as an Exchange student with some of my friends to learn about it for the test.

Wow lucky you. :o
Bring lots of money for shopping. (If you even have time for shopping.)
Bring any fav. snacks/chips you love with you since they most likely won't have it there.
Bring a camera to savor the moment!
Warning: You MIGHT have to buy a voltage converter to charge your electronics. Unless you buy a new phone from Japan then you probably wont have to worry about it. But USA's electronics runs on 110 volts while Japan's runs on 100 volts. Charging an american phone in Japan COULD potentially ruin your phone. You should do more research about it, because I'm not for sure if 100 volts will ruin a phone.
